We know how lucky we are. I don't know why my 19 year old kitty is headed toward the falls for the third time. I'm told that's highly unusual - both for her age and for the number of times she's been diabetic.

All I can think is that little Mala just likes being around. She's engaged, she's interested in everything, she LOVES being snuggled and petted, she finds her food yummy, and she loves her life. All that is true of other cats, too, but Mala just seems to want to stay.

Tortis have strong wills.
 
Go Mala, go! You can do it! Bubba made it to the falls 3 times too. Thought we were going for a 4th and had him down to a drop when he started going back up again. Sigh.

Yet Bubba is still here. He, too, must have found compelling reasons to stay around, despite myriad physical issues.

Cheers to you and Bubba. I can't tell you how thankful we have been for you, for Chris, for Marje, and others who kept us sane through the bad days.

Maybe Bubba will surprise you again.
