I wonder if that has been her plan all along. Thus Mala is happily munching on left over roasted chicken.

When I called Sanofi, I was told that the Lantus is good as long as it is clear and you don't see anything floating in it. With that said, they also stressed that it is designed to be used by humans so they don't stand by that statement entirely when used on pets. We've been using the same Lantus pen since she came out of remission, could this be old Lantus?

My theory is that it is not an issue of duration because Mala has a typical 12 hour curve during the day, and her AMPS is higher than her PMPS so the Lantus is lasting her all day. There seems to be something happening at night her AMPS is typically substantially higher than her PMPS the night before.
Curious as to what the experienced members would read into that SS. Of course, the changing doses and the depot play a role. That's where experienced members could give more insight.
Hope someone chimes in and explains it for you.![]()
That's good.he insulin is still clear, I see no floating stuff.
Yemala is simply bouncing from the low numbers last night. When a cat bounces, the numbers aren't always high. They can bobble around a lot like what you're seeing today. After a relatively nice nadir this afternoon, she's back into the 200s. I don't know what to make of this.
