Yayyyy! Day 10 no insulin

Im so excited! Hidey has been doing great and its thanks to everyone on this site and all the great advice. My husband is so glad that I didn't just listen to the vet and I googled like crazy for information and found this site. I think Hidey is missing the excess of treats I was giving him every time I'd give him a shot (I catch him on the kitchen counter trying to get into his treats lol) It amazes me how their attitude can change with things. Since Hidey's numbers have been better he's like a kitten.....running around the house, chasing the other cats, climbing on top of cabinets....I find myself getting onto him for causing trouble and I haven't had t do that in YEARS lol.

Thank you again everyone, I am so thankful I found all of you.

Its funny because yesterday I had to take my mother in laws dog to the vet and they asked me about Hidey. I just laughed and said he is doing EXCELLENT! He hasnt had a dose of insulin in over 10 days! and the va was amazed she had to ask how I did it. I told her I googled like crazy, found you guys, and changed his diet.
