I just found out that my husband won't be home tomorrow night at 7:30 and I won't be either. I had thought he'd be home but he got a job and forgot to mention it and I'm going to be over an hour away helping my stepmom with some issues around my dad who just got out of the hospital. Neither of us can change this.
Bottom line is the latest anyone will be able to give Robbie a shot is about 6pm or a bit before that - we won't be home till after 10pm - Robbie's shot time is 7:30/8pm latest.
What is the best way suggested to handle this?
I've called the 2 cat sitters we know who are willing to give shots and neither can make it, our 2 friends who would consider doing it are also unable. I'm just not sure what to do.
Should I under dose at amps and than do an early pmps again not shooting the normal amount or get home late and give him a shot based on ?????
thoughts?

What time did you shot tonight? 7:30?

I would shot about 30 minutes early in the morning for AMS. Which would put you at 7:00am

Then shot 30 minutes early for PMS. 6:30pm.

Will you have any test before the PMS? To know if he is up or down?

That's better then 1 hour early or 2 hours late. Just my opinion.

Shooting early is like giving a increase.
Shooting late is like a decrease.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Jenn I shot at about 7:40 tonight - was going for 7:30 but got home late and was hanging around here for some advice I can easily shoot at 7am tomorrow but the latest he can get a shot tomorrow is about 5:45-6pm LATEST even at that David will be late for his job.

I guess I'll see how his numbers run tonight - he's going down a bit faster tonight cause of what I shot.

Hi Ellen,
Sorry, I was in bed early last night and missed all the fun. This is my "get up before sane people get up" week, so I won't be on much past 10 pm for the next week.
Depending on what you get this morning.... he'll either still be low, or he will have bounced from dropping to near 100 last night... I would shoot as early as possible this morning, even if that means giving a greatly reduced dose. Just make sure the number is rising for sure before shooting. That will lessen the time between this morning's shot and tonight's shot. If you can shoot by 6:30 for instance, this morning, then it could be 11 hours until shooting at 5:50pm tonight.

I'll try to check in as I am making my early morning rounds today to see what sort of number you are looking at.

Carl

thanks Carl
I don't know if this is as much a bounce as the fact that he drove me crazy for food last night - when he was going that low he was crying so much I fed him 1/2 a can than another 1/2 so at 2:30 he had a full can of food - than at 4:30 am he woke me crying and fussing again - I was so exhausted from being sick I just tested him (299) and fed him anohter 1/4 can so by 6:30 this am when the alarm went off he'd had almost a can and a half of food in the previous 4 hours and he's 372
I'm thinking maybe I shoot 3.5 or 4? NOW? than shoot at 5:45pm tonight whatever makes sense then??

Some, but not all, of that is food. I think 4u now is good. And plan on 5:30pm for tonite. If you can test him an hour before that, you be able to see if he is rising by 5:30.

Yes, we can test leading up to 5:30 I'm pretty sure my husband will be around. thanks Carl - have fun on the early shift!
