Hello all, I need a bit of advice. Tony was diagnosed about a month ago, and the last two days his blood sugar has been high. He ended up throwing up yesterday, I didn't think it was a big deal but tonight his glucose is under control (224) he threw up again just before shot time and seems nauseated and doesn't want to eat. I did get him to eat small amount of his old high carb kibble but that all he would eat. He also seems a bit wobbly when walking around. I checked his urine for ketones (there were none detected), hes not straining to pee, but I'm more than a little worried, this guy has NEVER turned down food a day in his life. Im posting the link to his spreadsheet as well. Help please!
Hes on one unit of lantus 2x a day.

Sorry if i didnt post the spreadsheet right... this is my first time posting

Hi! So sorry no one has responded yet. How's Tony doing today? If nauseated, sounds like he may need some anti-nausea meds...I'm out of my knowledge here so I'd talk to your vet but I think folks here use cerneia and ondansetron - different anti-nausea meds and work differently.

Does Tony have any history of pancreatitis? or any other health issues? Here's some info on pancreatitis - A Primer On Pancreatitis

If it were my cat, I'd probably be trying to get to the vet to run labs and see if something else is going on. Paws crossed Tony feels better :bighug:

Might be a good idea to set up your signature, it's at the end of everyone's post in gray

Click on your name upper right hand corner , a drop down will appear , tap in signature , fill out info
  • On the left, under Settings, Click on Signature. This is where you will put information that helps us give you feedback. There is a limit of two lines which may include two links; you may separate pieces with commas, dashes, | etc. This is where you paste the link for your spreadsheet, once it is set up.
  • Add info we need to help you:
    • Caregiver & kitty's name
    • DX: Date
    • Name of Insulin (do not include dose or frequency)
    • Name of your meter
    • Diet: "LC wet" or "dry food" or "combo"
    • Dosing: TR or SLGS or Custom (if applicable)
    • DKA or other recent health issue (if applicable)
    • Acro, IAA, or Cushings (if applicable)
    • Spreadsheet link. Please put the signature link on the bottom line of your signature information, on its own, so it is easy to find.
    • Please do not put any information about your location in the signature for security reasons. If you wish to add your country location, please add it to your profile.
Be sure to click the 'Save Changes' button at the bottom. If you need help urgently it is important we know these things at a glance. We don’t want to waste valuable time finding out information.

Just curious why didn't you give insulin this morning 7-1-21
Also if you can get some more tests in after his AMPS that would be helpful
