OK angels,
I'm sick of all these numbers. It's tax time, I don't like numbers tonight (since I "owe" Uncle Sam once again!!!)

No numbers allowed. (Unless they are not BG related)

Let's take some time to tell each other how our kitties are doing.

Bob is lazy. Mullet is grumpy. Both are spoiled rotten and hogging the recliner.
And about six feet from me, just outside the LR window, there are a couple of Raccoons fussing at each other......I'm thinking there's some courting going on....or Momma is trying to convince last year's litter to get lost since there are more kits on the way.

So, for "here", everything is pretty much normal.

Who's next?

Carl

It was 60 degrees here today! I know that’s a number, but it’s not bg related :-D
Kind of weird for PA in Feb, but I’ll take it. I just can’t help but think we’ll pay for this some way. Like snow in April. Ice storm in July. Call me paranoid.
Today was a rough one mentally, work is slow, my elderly Mom was having some issues, you know, general sucky day. But 60 degrees and sun helped a lot.
And Tom made me my favorite soup for dinner, Vietnamese Pho. Yummy. And the cats are good and happy and spoiled and sleeping.
I have to be thankful for the small things more often.....

Shakes is sleeping alot, not himself,
on the other had Miss Lucy lost 5 pounds on the diabetic diet I put them
on over a year agao....She is only 23 pounds now!

wow, Bob topped out at 22 a couple years ago. Now he's a shapely 14 or just under. Orinch Mullet is only about 10ish.

Oh, Donna? We broke 80 today! If I wasn't working, I'd be working on the pre-spring tan. We had no winter this year. Last week the birdbath froze one night, so I guess that was "winter". Today it's June or July. I figure this summer is going to be brutal.

It was 87 here today! I'm beyond afraid of what it may be like by summer. But, tonight was delightful. We had all of the windows open and a soft breeze came through the house. Charley got into a staring contest with a squirrel. Both sat motionless for 20 minutes. It was so funny. It was the first time in a while that I just sat back and watched him enjoy doing cat things instead of over analyzing how he was feeling. He just brings me so much happiness.

That was so awesome to read, and just what I had in mind when I started this thread! Thanks!

Throughout this whole thing, Linus has been Linus. Very bossy, tells me exactly what I am supposed to be doing. Sleeps with me every night and reaches up to touch my face or arm with his paw before he falls asleep. Still hates to ride in the car, even with new, wonderful carrier that he sleeps in at home. He has a large stuffed bear that he sleeps on in the bedroom during the day. He supervises every project around the house. I'm glad I caught the FD, the only symptom was weight loss, even with a BG in the high 400's (oops, sorry, no numbers). I'm just praying I can get it under control and he can continue being himself.

Found out we don't have a mid-term or final in our finance class- there is no way to really test the numbers- only the concepts. Since we have 4 page papers every week for 2 weeks and a presentation the 3rd week our professor is going to spread out those points among the cases we cover :-D . I had no idea how he was going to test us anyway unless he let us take it home to do- requires Excel spreadsheets and our classroom is too small to have everyone spread out to take a test.

Today it was sunny, breezy, and warm! Between work and class I got in a 2 miles on the treadmill.

And I will be off tomorrow after lunch to work on my paper for my other class with the psycho teacher. If I'm really wanting to get out in the yard before it gets cold on Saturday I need to put the blackberry vine in the ground and move my rose. I've got some rebates coming in and will buy some boards for raised beds this year.

Sneakers is lying on a rug behind me and I have my sewing projects nearly finished. It is a good day.

Cassie is trying to pick a fight with his brother. Benny is ignoring him & waiting for me to come to bed so he can sleep on my head. Both boys appear to be feeling good (& back to eating normally).

Baxter & I just came in from being on our nightly trip outside. It's in the 70s & breezy, which makes for a beautiful night in Houston. He is now on his bed relaxing. I am getting ready to do the dishes & start getting ready for bed. I have a very busy day tomorrow. I have a hair appointment in the late afternoon & attending a wedding in the evening. I can't wait to eat wedding cake...yummy!

The laser pointer has been so much fun to play with! I've gotten Mia to tap DH's arm a time or two (remember, she's extremely shy and avoids him at all costs!). Poop still tries to pounce on the "little red bug" and Mia still pitter patters after it. When I slowly creep the "little red bug" up Poopy's leg, he tries to bite it, repeatedly! It's just too funny to watch!

When they both start panting, I finally turn it off. They both know who controls the thing, yet they can't resist chasing it. Every time I turn it off, they both look at me as if to say, "Hey! I was playing with that!" even when flopped on their sides! Too funny!

Sid ate pretty well today, got nebulized, got all his meds, scratched his scratch board, and is now resting.
Ben, Eliot, Chloe, and Daphne are sleeping upstairs.
Josie and Tiffany are sleeping downstairs.
Sonia is on my lap (as usual) while I read FDMB.

Hope you all are having a good day or evening wherever you are. :-D

I think I want to "come back" as a cat some day. To be able to sleep just because you can? What a life. And if I ever get feline diabetes, I pray I get fostered or furevered by somebody who is a member of FDMB.

Hi everyone! Left very early this am for a conference i was presenting at this afternoon. First time i had to leave my boy for more than 6hrs. Was so worried all day that i would come home to a sick or dead cat. He was just fine and very hungry when i came home and ate all his food i left out. All day every number i saw, whether it be a speed sign, road sign, room number, etc i was thinking, "BG". I have BG on the brain. Even during my presentation, the word BLOOD GLUCOSE would just keep coming in my head. I hope i didn't say it out loud. WHo knows. All i could think about was what time it was and where he would be at in numbers right about that time and when is his next shot. UGH!!!!!! I'm going insane!!!

Tonight all is calm again. All the animals and kids are fast asleep all snug in their beds, except mommy of course. Annie(my dog) is fast asleep on her bed snoring. DH fast asleep in bed, snoring. Both girls, fast a asleep in bed- one snoring. Copper snuggled up with my youngest daugher in her arms sleeping and other cat, buddy, in the window night dreaming of being outside chasing squirrels and chipmunks. So glad tomorrow is Sat. Will be able to go up on the insulin and hopefully see some movement.

Carl, AMEN to what you said about being a FDMB cat. Wish i could nap and just hang out all day.

The weather is really strange. Saw on the thermometer it got to 75 here today and now it is 32 and snow flurries. Weird weather.

Love my life as a human, although i don't get my cat or kid naps anymore. Boo hoo. Maybe when i turn 80

Good night all...

Good morning,
Sorry I'm late for this report, but here it goes.
Me and Eukanubo are tired from all this testing so I'm cutting him some slack today. It's a beautiful cool morning and we spent some time in the spare bedroom, looking out the window, laying in bed, noticing the squirrels, birds, and stray cats that sometimes trespass into the yard, feeling the cool air through the partially open window, I can tell he loves sniffing the aromas from outside. Then it's Saturday morning naptime and I'm off to making myself some breakfast, surf the net, talked to my parents (mom is getting up in years and was pretty sick recently but she is doing much better, dad is doing OK given his age) and I plan to just chill today, cook, nap, shop (not necessarily in that order) and other than a couple BG checks, I refuse to worry about it today as it's obvious he'll be just fine
