Which neosporin should I get that makes ear sticks less painful? I saw 4 different types at the store.

You want the neorsporin ointment (not the cream) with pain relief. You only need a very small amount.

Oops almost forgot. Does that numb the ear a little before you stick? Or just help with the pain afterward?

I don't know if it actually numbs the ear, most likely helps afterwards

Just used it, and promptly used too much so 2 strips were a no go. But got the reading on the 3rd strip. And I so did not put the Neo on my, I stuck myself, booboo. Nope, never happened.

Yeah you don't want to put it on beforehand - and just use a little dab. When my friend was catsitting she was complaining the vaseline she was using (beforehand to get the blood to bead up) was making it hard to get pokes in. Apparently she was slathering her ear with the stuff and gunking up the lancets.
