My cat is on ~2.75 u of Lantus BID. His diabetes has been very hard to control and has had some hypo episodes. Overall, he is doing quite well now, which I attribute to routine.
I have not missed a shot in over 3 years but would like to visit a relative in hospice. I would not be able to get back until 3 hours past his normal evening shot. Should I just give it late or have my husband (who has never given a shot but is willing to try) attempt to do so after he feeds the cat? I haven't had my husband practice because I've been trying to keep the cat's BGs as stable as possible leading up to my travel day.
