Hi all! I'm still waiting for my dental surgery on Wednesday so that I can go back to testing jekyll way more than I should, but last night he was 7 points from a reduction again

He's currently at 1.75u prozinc but I do have Lantus on hand with the u100 syringes so I'm curious when I should try a switch? And when I do what u should I start at? 1 maybe? :)

Hi Katrina - do you know what your recovery is going to be like from the dental surgery? Just asking cause we suggest close monitoring for the first few cycles, in case there is a strong reaction to the insulin switch. Meaning you'd want to be up to monitoring.

Typically we take how the current dose is doing into consideration, so maybe start with 1.5 units of Lantus to give you a little margin. Since Lantus is a depot insulin, you may not see much happen right away, but you never know with cats.
