when to dose lyrica for newly diabetic 15year old cat

HI everyone, I am brand new here. My baby Coco has just been diagnosed with Diabetes and we have started with insulin shots twice a day at the lowest level. My cat has been on Lyrica for her arthritis for months, I'm not sure when to give her the lyrica, does it affect the insulin shots at all? I gave her the insulin shot about 45 minutes ago. I would appreciate any advice. She is a very very aggressive and grumpy cat so I didn't think I could actually get the shots done but it has been better than expected. Sadly she has to be sedated to be assessed and the vet wants to assess her at least once a month under sedation which I am so scared about. She also has low grade chronic pancreatitis

Hi, I'm afraid I don't know anything about Lyrica but my kitty has a form of spinal arthritis and is now on Solensia for it. I find the Solensia seems to be helping her, and does not affect her BG. But then that's Solensia. Hopefully someone here has experience with your specific med. Maybe @Sienne and Gabby (GA)

What are you giving the Lyrica to treat? It has an indication for treating anxiety. It's a form of gabapentin so it may be helpful for pain. The only recommendation I could find about timing was to use it 2 - 3 hours prior to a stressful situation. Many people here use gabapentin and I've not seen anyone have a problem with when they were giving a dose.
