? What to give a pusscat for constipation

So. This is a first for me and Tyler. Normally he is the king of all manner of poop .

He hasn't 'been' properly for a good two days now . Husband saw him trying last evening but he produced next to nothing at all. He is eating normally.

What do any of you give when your cat maybe is not pooping as usual. I know from experience that this can make a body feel rotten.

He gets baked pumpkin with his food. There is no canned stuff here where we are.
 
Can you get Slippery Elm Bark powder in NZ? That worked for Mouse when he was very constipated, the dose is 1/16th teaspoon and he didnt taste it. Poor Tyler, hope he gets movin soon!
 
Elmo gets a product called Natural Moves by PetAlive , mixed with his daily pumpkin. It is all natural and it works . Not sure if could be gotten in NZ. I found it on Amazon . Sending pooping prayers to Ty :bighug:

Thanks. We actually have a chemist/pharmacy in the village so I may be able to get hold of something very similar.

Do you know how much to give please? I wouldn't want his rear end to explode but after 2/3 days he certainly needs to relieve himself.

I think it’s dose to effect but I’m not sure of starting dose. Many members use it so you could post asking for info.
 
I was given Phoebe 1/8 of a teaspoon 2x day on the miralax. Now we use pumpkin, we tried baby squash and she exploded so maybe that would get Ty going. Does he get fluids? I know that helps her too. Every time we give her sub q fluids she poops nicely. Usually within 8 hours. Good luck on the poop patrol! They get so miserable. Head bumps and scritches to you and Ty puss.
