I have been reading so many comments on diets. My vet put Tia on Royal Canin diabetic. Is this good for her.? I see people recommending Fancy Feast or Friskies, any thoughts?
Not sure what the carb count is in the royal canin, but you are looking for a low carb diet with a diabetic, under 10% is optimal. I personally switched Cooter from dry food to all wet using Friskies and fancy feast pates. This dramatically decreased his glucose levels, and I had to cut his insulin dose way down! There is a link in my signature that contains wet foods that are all under 8% carbs you can feed her. There are more on there then the Friskies and fancy feast. As far as dry foods there are only 2 that are low carb, I can't remember which ones but I know someone else will chime in shortly
