I am 95% sure I had a fur shot this morning. I could feel liquid on his fur after I pushed the plunger. What should I do? I am afraid to give him more insulin and I am afraid not to.
DO NOTHING! No more attempts - as you don't know how much Fluff got...just write FS in your SS and test...I am 95% sure I had a fur shot this morning. I could feel liquid on his fur after I pushed the plunger. What should I do? I am afraid to give him more insulin and I am afraid not to.
Remember Lantus is a depot drug - there's already some in his body and it'll be released along the way ...sorry to see he's so high...but you don't want to risk and OD. Then you'd be dealing with a hypo situation - nothing worse!I am 95% sure I had a fur shot this morning. I could feel liquid on his fur after I pushed the plunger. What should I do? I'm going to tag some of the more experienced members as I have not dealt with high numbers. When I test, what do I do if he goes black? You can see on his spreadsheet that he was black for quite a while 2 days ago.
), I would do just one test a couple hours late, then do something for myself that day. The one test is because often more insulin gets in than you think.
My husbands missed shots we could have bought a car! What a great idea!Every time I gave a fur shot (which I did often), I would put a dollar in my fur-shot basket. At the end of the year I would buy a nice bottle of wine.
Fur shots are inevitable. Don't give more insulin until your next shot time.
