What my FD cat has taught me

At first a shock, then panic, finally serenity. Just something I wrote last night to Moonie & wanted to share as I know you all feel this way!

These are some of the things my FD cat has taught ME:
DEAREST FD CAT:

You have taught me what Compassion is, what Sacrifice is, what Devotion and Consistancy is....
You have taught me Patience, Commitment, Self control, and how to Wait for a Result.
You have taught me Powerlessness, Kindness, and you have opened my Mind & Heart!

You have shown me what Bravery is, what Courage is,
And How to Purr even if I am sick.
You have shown me that even an old cat can learn new tricks!
Most of all, you have shown me a LOVE I have never experienced
With any other living being!
I Love you with all my Heart & Soul.
You have made me a better person.

Beautiful and so true. I think just about anyone who is not part of this group would think I'm crazy, but I've truly grown to appreciate my FD experience with Trixie..I'm amazed at how much she has taught me!
 
That was beautiful Roni and so true! We form such a bond with our FD kitties. I agree that any non-FD bean would not understand and are often very rude. I love this group and I love Tarragon. He has taught me things that I never would have learned ever.
 
So true.....I have learned so much about myself, because of FD.....I have learned what I am capable of....Thank you for putting it into words.

Something Morgaine has taught me is what it must have been like for my mom when I was diagnosed and how difficult it was to get me regulated as a kid. Caring for our kitties, because we love them and they reciprocate, is much like caring for a child. I see it here every single day.
 
Thank you Roni. That is beautiful. I have printed it so I can read it when I get frustrated because it is so true. Our kitties have taught us what love is.

I can add that my FD cat Jake taught me me more than I learned in my whole life (lots of yers under my belt)!
English,writing,typing,computer and a lot about diabetes. Because of him we catched early my DH with pancreatic cancer.
Many older members I believe remember Us. Hope that pretty soon I'm gonna start posting again.
Our FD furries are special and given to us for reason! cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon
 
What a nice and beautiful poem. We really make a special connection with our sugar kitties that is difficult for others to understand.
