I have spent alot of time reading the articles on here along with lots of posts and then some. Now I am more confused than ever on what food to try for my pancreatic & diabetic cat. The only thing that I know for sure is that I am NOT going to continue giving him the vet prescribed Hills W/D dry food. My cat was diagnosed 7 yrs ago with pancreatitis and I switched him over to HIlls C/D wet and hard food and he had no major flare ups but now on W/D dry and C/D wet with new diabetes diagnosis. After all the reading, it is clear that the W/D food is NOT the answer as too much junk in it and way too many carbs. I have seen alot of good posts on the Feline Pride but many articles point out that pancreatic cats still do better with More carbs than this food provides. (But not as much as the many of the other foods). A couple of articles pointed closer to 10-15% carbs as being ideal for cats with diabetes and pancreatitis. So, rather than get more and more confused I wanted to hear from everyone else on what they give their cat that works for pancreatits and diabetes! Please let me know so I can make a more informed decision.. As all of you know with these 2 conditions, the less you switch foods around the better!
