Here is what my readings are right now. I’m using the AlphaTrak 2. Thoughts?

383 - 12:41pm 3/23
394 - 7:19 am 3/24
336 - 6:40 pm 3/24
413 - 6:05 am 3/25
382 - 6:00 am 3/26
378 - 5:56 am 3/27

2 units 2x day. Was on Novolin at 4 units 2x day. Started Lantus on 3/19/2019 Tuesday
 
What time of the day are you giving the insulin? Can you put the dose beside the times please so we can see. Looks like it is between 5.56 am and 7.15 am.
Are you getting any mid cycle tests in? That is important to see how low the dose is taking kitty
Do you have a spreadsheet set up yet? It is really important to get one set up and running as we need to be able to look at the numbers to give suggestions.
It’s good you have swapped to Lantus. Keep asking questions.
 
Haven’t done a spread sheet yet but will. You have all the information that I have at present. No, I can’t do any mid day tests. I work and travel for work so close to impossible to do. I am going to try a curve on Sunday though. Wish me luck on that he likes to hide most of the day. Am I the only person with a difficult cat? Seems like everyone else’s cats corporate with them.
 
Can you get a ‘before bed’ test each night? Cats often drop lower at night. Any tests between the cycles will help fill in the picture. All data is good.
Are you giving a treat every time you test?
Please test before EVERY shot to make sure it is safe to give the insulin. I know he is running high at the moment but there will come the day when he’s low and you don’t want to miss it!!
 
It seems these are the numbers he’s been at since the beginning. We were going to do 4 units once a day but decided to split amongst 2 shots. We were doing Novolin at 4 units twice a day. Totally useless.

I would love to test him if I could get him. This is one pissy cat. Sweet as pie in the morning but when I come home he’s scared and hiding. Comes out just long enough to get some food. I take this opportunity to give him his shot because that’s all I have. Off he goes again. May not even eat his food. I have to act fast. Hoping this will change. Working on it at least. Trying for s routine with treats and everything.

Doctor wanted higher units. Will probably increase at least .5 units anyway. Need to see the BG move some.
