What do you think?-Copper amps

Good morning all! Last night i gave Copper .8u as an experiment to see if his amps would come down. It did, but didn't get a nadir number. Thought maybe the 1u yesterday might of been too much the way his numbers went based on his past pattern. So gave it a whirl and he is amps is lower than his pmps. That usually means a should stay on the dose i gave him (.8u). But, not sure it is enough. I would love some other minds and see what you think- .8u or 1u? Will need to give shot around 8:30amEST.

Trial with the .8u today and try to catch nadir and see where he falls. I will also stick with the no carb food today. He hates it, but will eat it if hungry.

He does seem to be all over like Bitty. I'm so new I couldn't give advice on dosing but I do know through all my questions lately they all say stay consistent for 3-5 days before you make a decision as to how that dosage is working. GL to you & Copper on .8U & fingers crossed we can wean off soon!!
 
Today's #'s are starting to look like an inverse curve? What does that mean again? Too much or too less insulin? Can't remember.

If it's a pattern (ie repeated) of inverse curves, it means too.much. In this case they're close enough to fall in the 20% meter variance, so I suspect it's just a flat.day.
 
Inverse curve can mean too much insulin, but I agree with Lisa, I think this is just a flat day. Our Asher is known for that, he seems to have flat days often. I guess the main goal is to try to keep him under the renal threshold (my vet says that is 270) , even if it’s flat he would be in good numbers all day hopefully.
 
So if need to keep below renal threshold, then he has been above that all day. Do you suggest i hold @ .8u or go for the 1u? He did good on the 1u, almost too good and He went so low one night when i gave him the 1u, so i might try in morning. WIll do pmps around 8pmEST.

His pmps is @ 219. Lower than his amps. So i guess i will stay @.8. He didn't really do much today and stayed high and flat most of the day. Not sure what that is a sign of. Any thoughts?

I started the miralax (1/4 tsp) in his food mixed w/water. I'm hoping the miralax will help his constipation. I have been giving him some extra water in his food too and i think that is helping because he did go ok tonight, before i gave him the miralax.

Well i'm trying for the .8u tonight. Shall see how it goes. I'm not testing tonight, too tired, so will have to decide tomorrow what to do.

It is so hard to say
In looking at the SS he is all over the place
If you can I would stick with whatever you shoot for a little while so you can collect some data
with consistency
...
He has many flat days....
 
Thanks Denise! Yea, i know he is all over the place. Driving his momma crazier! Hope he settles down a bit. I'm staying with the .8u for a couple more cycles and hope he stays consistant.
