What do you feed your Diabetic cat with Pancreatitis?

My FD cat, Kitty, was recently dx with chronic pancreatitis. I am trying to cut back the fat in her diet, while not increasing the carbs anymore than absolutely necessary. Kitty is unregulated and is very carb sensitive. I am willing to go all raw, but due to kidney issues the vet warned against it.

She has a great appetite and is showing no signs of nausea.

I know there is no "perfect" food---I have searched JB's chart also, but what do you feed?

I have considered boiling chicken with no seasoning and adding with her food to cut back on the fat--would this be acceptable?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Chicken is an awesome supplement to your cat's diet.
I also have a cat very carb sensitive and prone to pancreatitis. I give Shadoe 1/4tab pepcid 10mg reg strength tabs BID as it helps to settle her inside and she has less pancreatitis issues.

I steam chicken breasts and chop into tiny pieces for her. I use the bits for treats, snacks, and also to tide her over till shot times and to stretch the rest of her food.

I also feed some raw chicken chunks to Oliver, my other acro cat, as he often has mild pancreatitis numbers and issues. He also likes the steamed, but loves the raw.

The cats don't need seasoning; it's humans who seem to need it.
