been having some problems lately...I think smokey is allergic to corn, what can I give other than corn syrup if things go really bad. Ive been meaning to ask, but don't like to post to often. May need to have something ready very soon here. I think he'll be okay...but just incase.

His numbers have been low, havnt been willing to shoot often lately. Trying small dose with curve today and last night...he's at 4.6 @ +2 this morning.

What is the mix for sugar water...would feel best with that considering I have no idea what all he may react to.

I'm not sure how much sugar to use. Just dissolve as much sugar as you can in very hot or boiling water and let cool. If the sugar starts to crystallize out when cool, add a little more water and reheat. Honey is probably a bit better for this purpose because you can put it on your finger and rub on your cat's gums. But you can syringe the sugar water or add it to food.

Okay, will try the honey if anything happens. His numbers are coming up a bit now, so think I'm safe for now! But I'm having problems, need to make sure I have something ready if I'm going to keep giving any insulin. Thank you very much for the help
