What BG Monitor Do You Use?

From 2018 posts, I see the Relion Micro was discontinued by Walmart. I've tried using the Relion Prime and Premier Compact with no luck. What comes close to the Relion Micro these days?

Can you not return them and get new ones? I think a lot of people here use ReliOn meters - Prime, Micro etc.

Micro was discontinued in 2018. No, these can't be returned. My understanding is the Prime requires getting more blood. I've not had luck with the Prime so far as the monitor I received was defective.

No, the Arkray Glucocard01 meter that went with the linked strips was discontinued.

Sorry, my experience with Relion has been the opposite. I really like it. The only other meter I’ve ever used is freestyle. It does require slightly less blood but I had more issues with it than with the ReliOn

Any idea why they are just selling the strips and not the meter?

I'm in Canada so have not used the Relion but I found this video.
It does not look like the strip is removed.
I'm not sure how long the strip can stay in before the meter automatically shuts off.
If you find you do not have enough time, do the poke and get the blood on your clean fingertip, then insert the strip.

I assume you hold the meter with the strip inserted to the ear.

Stick a strip in the meter and time how long it takes for the meter to automatically shut off. See how much time you have.

Happy with the Prime meter though CJ isn't. But what cat likes being poked?
