hello again, Thanks to this board my kitty Oliver was on insulin for only 1 week around Christmas. A switch to Fancy Feast seemed to fix his problems. I still test his BG occasionally(although not often). He is generally pretty low. I just tested him though and he was 49mg/dL. I'm just wondering is this okay? Thats a low reading from what I have been experiencing. Normally he is 80-55. He was sleeping prior to the test. I'm familiar with what too high a reading is, but what is too low? I understand they can go into shock if it gets too low.

Thanks

Dear Mikaila, and, of course, you too, not too sweet Oliver,

A lot of us dream of these working pancreas moments...

Congratulations! You go, Oliver!!!

Love and happy hugs for you both,
Deb and Nikki -- and, Giz, forever dancing in my heart...

Yoda frequently gets those numbers too and he's been OTJ since September. There is one OTJ kitty on here that gets into the low 30s all on her own
