I have only been on this site for about 2 days but, if anyone that read my posts about Mom-mom. She has wet herself. I noticed that she did that at the vets office. Her sugar is really "hi" for the last 2 days. She is eating very well and drinking water. Is this a sign of some sort????? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I CAN NOTLOOSE MT CAT.

Her kidneys are dumping as much of the glucose as they can through her kidneys and they fill up fast in the uncontrolled diabetic.
Add in that she may not be able to control her bladder well due to diabetic neuropathy.

As you get the diabetes controlled this should resolve. Meanwhile tarps and vinyl tablecloths will be helpful to reduce cleanup.

You've jumped around in dose. When you skip and/or the glucose goes too low in between shots, the next pre-shot can skyrocket. What you want is a dose you can safely give twice a day at 12 hour intervals. Lantus in particular, does best with the same dose every 12 hours.

Could you please add your insulin to your signature? Go up to control panel, in the upper left of the page, click on it, and select the second tab. Your signature will be on that panel.

Is it possible that the accident at the vet is unrelated to the diabetes? My cats sometimes tinkle during the car ride or in the office simply because they're so anxious being away from home.

I also had a cat that peed every time we took her to vet (and sometimes it wasn't only just pee..... )

Inappropriate urination is common in cats with high blood glucose levels though.
At the time of Bertie's diabetes diagnosis he was peeing everywhere. Just couldn't help himself. (That was actually the reason we took him to the vet).
He'd sleep on my pillow at times and I awoke one morning to find my hair soaked in cat's pee. Bertie was still fast asleep on the pillow. Hadn't even realised he'd 'wet himself', poor little love...

But all that resolved fairly quickly once we started insulin therapy.

Chin up, sweetie. It's early days in Mom-Mom's sugardance.
Things will get better!

I noticed the one day she was wet while I was at the vets office there for a visit with her. I didn't want her to think I abandoned her, ya know. I used to go to the vet every day for 2 hours for the entire 6 days that she was there. Now looking back, all the dogs CONTINUOUSLY barking, she was traumatized. That's why she followed me everywhere in the house for the first week she was home. She even tried to jump into the bath tub with me. LOL
