Any one care to give me a hint on how to keep wet food fresh? With the heat I have been putting Loki wellness in the fridge but he hates it cold, and I find myself throwing an open can away and getting a new one out. It's not cost effective at all and with his vet bills I am trying to save a few $.
Thanks.

Have you tried to warm the food in the microwave for a few seconds after it comes out of the fridge? Or maybe adding a bit of hot water to it to warm it up? Works like a charm for my civie cat Smokey. Now Zeus - he'll eat it at room temp, warmed up, right out of the fridge... he's even eaten the frozen food before it has time to thaw.

I always put it on her little plate. microwave it for 6 seconds.
It knocks the chill off and she's happy.
You could do longer but I would let it set on the counter for a minute so there won't be any chance of hot spots.

Oh. And I always cover the unused portion tightly with foil before putting it in the fridge. It pretty much looks just like a newly opened can.
