All - I am having a hard time figuring out how Wellness Grain-Free turkey is low carb. Yes, I was given an as fed value of 4% carb by Wellness, but if you remove the moisture and determine carbs per calorie it is roughly 16%. What am I missing? It is my understanding diabetic cat needs less than 10% of calories from carbs. My little guy is having a hard time getting regulated. I am confused and trying not to get frustrated. Help is appreciated.

Can you post the numbers Wellness gave you? As fed and dry matter basis are two different things.

My cat is very well regulated on 0.25u and frequently eats Wellness turkey. He just had some yesterday. I think there may be a math issue.

Below is the information from both the Wellness website and Customer Service. The protein, fat, fiber, and ash from as fed plus moisture from Guaranteed analysis add up to more than 100%. I guess I am just having # overload and a hard time getting the pieces to fit, so the metabolized energy #s aren't making sense.
