yep, i have some new syringes. xtra long needles and i decided to try a new spot on tom, shooting the flank of his hip area. pinched up a patch of skin and shot right thru it into my finger. not all i don't think but can't be sure. hurt like hell, but he never seems to feel a thing! :o
anyway as soon as i saw my blood i ran over to test it (don't we all) i am at pmps 84.
now does anyone think i should be worried about this. i did suck as much as i could of the blood from my finger but not alot came out.

do i need a +2
no, seriously.

oh, i just thought of something, i guess i should eat. just in case.

I'm sorry, but the first thing I thought of when I read this was a new LOLcats caption: FELINE DIABETES: You're doing it wrong.

The PZI insert says a person in your situation should seek medical attention immediately. "Exposure to product may induce a local or systematic allergic reaction in sensitized individuals." Though, if we listened to this little sheet, we'd be giving our kitties dosage based on their weight.

It is entirely your call. A sweet treat and a nap with the hypo kit couldn't hurt anything though. Maybe even a call into a nurses hotline. A +2 could also be fun :D

This reminds me of the dream I had that I was being stabbed over and over again. The next morning I found an open lancet in my bed sheets. I think my case was the revenge of the Peeps though.

normally i would say you probably don't have a thing to worry about as the dose is so small but, given your cancer & treatment history, are you currently taking any medications? i just have to wonder if there could be any complication if you are. but still, with the dose being so small i doubt you have anything to worry about.

Oh no - I just saw this! Are you feeling okay? From what I could find on the Net, if it's a small dose, your body should be able to produce enough glycogen to counter the effect, but keep on the lookout for a hypo reaction. I'd call the doctor, just to be on the safe side, if it were me. Definitely eat something heavy in protein!

I am smiling while reading this, cause I've done the exact same thing last night (only with Lantus), and I didn't even know I was supposed to be concerned. I cleaned my finger with alcohol and went about my business. This morning though I woke up much hungrier than I normally am, I wonder why...? :-D

I am sorry but this gave me a little giggle cos its the kinda thing I would do.

I recommend a can of coke and a krispy kreme!

Seriously though if you dont feel right then get to docs or at least call them.

Hope you are okay. xx

Hi All,
well i made it thru the night. learned that i cannot give MYSELF a pokie so i did'nt get any +#'s but i drank a large glass of oj before going to sleep and found myself hungry for a bag a cashews i have and ate a whole lot of them while watching jon stewart.
fine now...of course it was funny.
specially the hypo kit, and thinking of taking a curve
tom gave me a lower than usuall # this am so I can deduce one of two things.
1. he got a good portion of the shot???
2 he does better with no insulin

actally i am up and going much earlier and more energetically than usuall. could this be rebound??????????????? confused_cat LOL
