Weight loss. Normal?

Kitty has been ill, and did go through a period of syringe feeding only. I did, however, get the recommended amount of food in her every day. She has been eating mostly wet food since diagnosed 1,5 months ago. Her numbers aren't bad. (They were quite bad for a few days when she was ill). She has lost about 500 grams. She was a bit on the heavy side with her 5.6 kg and she is just fine now, if the weight loss stops here, at 5.1 kg. I guess my question is: Is it normal to lose wight on low carb wet food?
