@Sheila305
Morning Sheila I think you can start posting over on the Lantus Forum, there are more a lot more eyes over there in case you need help. I'll give you the link
We have a certain way to post over there and ask that you post everyday if possible
In your title you would put the
Date Minky then AMPS # and any additional tests you take after that, you can then continue with the PMPS # and any tests after that.

To add those additional tests look to the right tap on the word Thread Tool , then tap on Edit Title and add the tests then tap save .
If you want to you can start today. You can just introduce yourself and Minky and say you were posting over on the Feline Health Forum before.

One more thing
When you do a new post every day we ask you to link your previous days post to your new one in case members need to go back and look at it
I'll tell you how to do that below

To link your previous posts
Your previous days post will always be in the URL all the way up top ignore where it says insert or cancel I'm just trying to show you where your previous days post will be
Just ignore where it says insert and cancel
Just copy your previous days post and then paste it when you do your new post

Like I said
your previous days post it will be the one all the way up top, above the pic of that cat and the picture of a bottle of insulin there, let me know if you understand it

So if you start posting on the Lantus Forum today you will copy and paste your post ( We made a mistake) to today's post

I hope you understand lol I'll sleep a watch out :cat:

This is very helpful in trusting the ketone meter. With the NovaMax some said the blood sugar testing part was off so I was worried that maybe the ketones would be too.
My cat was on Bexacat so the main thing then is testing ketones (because it’s not dose dependent and glucose will definitely come down). I asked my vet and she recommended the Precision Xtra fwiw. I thought set up was easier than alpha trak. Ketones should show up earlier in blood (meaning at lower levels) than in urine.

I know I was told to post in the Lantus group which I can do, but I just tested Minky. She has been in the 300s today so I was so happy and now I just tested and she is 538! Is this an emergency? Our vet said it would be. I don't understand and don't know what to do. I held off on the 2 units of insulin until I posted in the group. I will try posting in the Lantus group if I can follow the directions.

I did order this one today as it seemed to get the best reviews. I am glad it worked so well for you. Thank you for telling me as sometimes it is hard to know.
