Well much to the surprise of the Vet, Fern's teeth were really bad. He got 5 removed and 2 more will be re-evaluated in 3 months to see if they recover or need to be removed. The vet was not expecting this or I think they would have made it a higher priority instead of "once he's stable" Fingers crossed this has a positive effect. He was high this morning in part because he was low last night and only got 1u instead of 2.5u. Actually per my vets instructions he would have been a no shoot last night as well but I was comfortable with the 1u.
His shot tonight was an hour late but I will just adjust it back to normal over several days because I didn't want another N/S.
My pet sitter did fire me today as well but she would not BG test. I have a new one set to visit on Sunday. Thanks to Yelp and the interwebs.
Fern is a trooper according to the vet, he was under Anastasia longer then they expected but he seems to be bouncing back. He ate all the Gravy from the HC wet I sent with him to the vet (he deserved it) and is now eating some of his new regular stuff. He did scare me when he decided to grab a drink from the auxiliary water bowl (toilet) while not quite steady on his feet yet.
