Good morning, it is 3:11am local time & both of my cats are not feeling well. Appetitie has been reduced to now nothing in the last 8 hours, one has vomiting & loose stools. The other has vomited but only once. With it being the middle of the night & Sunday, I am at a stand still right now. They have eaten & drank so I am not going to take them to the ER. As soon as a vet opens in the morning, I am making an asap appointment for both & calling into work. If anybody is up & has suggestions please lend me your expertise. I have given them both Pepsid ac (1/4 pill).

I have never had two sick at the same time with what seems like the same thing.

What food? There may have been a batch change in ingredients.

I've noticed a batch of Wellness Turkey and Giblet had the consistency of baby food, rather than firm, and some of my civvies have been vomiting on that.

Provide fresh water and hold off on food for a bit to give the gut some time to rest and recover.

Consider picking up some chicken baby food (NO onions!), for feeding; give in teaspoon sized amounts, as tolerated, with some time between the amounts to see how the stomach is holding up.

Thanks BJM, we are home now - both are resting & have had a tiny bit of food - they have kept it down & I am thankful. Bloodwork results back by this evening (hopefully) for now things seem ok, they are tired from being up all night. As far as food goes - they do eat Natures Variety Raw, Wellness & really anything low carb.. I like the higher end foods, but they do eat Fancy Feast sometimes too. A wide range here. Thank you for your input, it is noted & heard ;-)
Praying for good bloodwork results now.

Baby is busy & back to normal (thankfully) Sadi is improving but not yet back to normal. Sadi has not vomited in 24 hours, no loose stool, the meds have gave in office are working it appears. He did give her 3 other meds that I don’t want to start without being home to monitor (at work today) Sadi not as lethargic & cautiously eating a few bites here & there. Her blood work is not completely back but her WBC count is 18,500 which he thought was too high. I need to compare her last years blood work, this is a new vet for us – we lived in Kansas City & have moved to Fort Lauderdale/Miami area. Here are the meds: Metronidazole Cmp, Clavamoc, Cerenia. He also suggested a low fat diet for Sadi – she is not overweight – she has no other health issues - I need to find low fat canned food – we do not feed any dry. Baby is on Raw – I cannot switch Sadi (have tried for 3 years). Any input on meds, etc. is always appreciated – I respect & appreciate the education and input given here always.

Double check on the metronidazole before you give it. I'm not sure it's good for cats...some vets do prescribe it for cats but I seem to recall reading that it's not actually a good thing to do. It's an antiparasitic and also calms the digestive tract....works great in dogs, Maybe I'm wrong, but it wouldn't hurt to ask others what they know and do a little research.
Glad that your kitties are doing better

Metronidizole is fine for cats. My vets prescribed it many time for many of my cats. The does is about 50 to 75 mg twice dail. Frequently it is 1/4 of a 250 mg tablet.
