Vomiting - is this urgent or wait to hear from doc?

Bingo has dealt with a bit of vomiting since coming home from the hospital 11/16, usually at night. He just had his check-in 11/22 where they did labs and thought he was looking better. They said maybe the liquid antibiotic was making him sick (history with this) so we switched to pills.

He vomited a little Tuesday, a little Wednesday, and then overnight last night while we were sleeping. He just vomited up his breakfast too. We contacted the vet this morning and are waiting to hear back. We also just gave him an anti nausea (Cirenia) and will try to give more food soon.

Other than the nausea he is acting normal. He will usually eat a bit after. Is this urgent? Any immediate advice is appreciated. Doc has otherwise been happy with his numbers. Spreadsheet in signature. Thank you.

Ask the vet to look into GI issues. IBD is common in cats and some diabetics have it.

A food allergy or sensitivity can also cause vomiting. Chicken is a common culprit. So are filler ingredients. Leroy has a laundry list of food intolerances and allergies  You have to elmiminate ingredients one by one to see what might be causing the vomiting. There are low carb limited ingredient canned foods in novel protein you can try.

No Ketones,123BG that's greeat!, sometimes they also throw up on account of a stuck hair ball too. I am glad for the good news, nice lows and great greens, you can color the cell when you type in any other information in it, by going to the color paint brush choose the color the # it corresponds to, and VOALA, you painted the cell

Whew, of course. 🙃 Finding a safe food that he will eat consistently is going to be the toughest part of this with Bingo. He has always been a light eater and a picky eater. Before dx he used to lick the juice off a can of tiki cat a couple times a day but we always had to supplement with dry. I saw there is a sticky or two with tips on transitioning food, so that's probably our next reading!

Last night he got Cerenia and ate a full meal, no vomiting, so we're grateful for that at least. 🙏
