That list of ingredients triggered memory of looking some of them up before and that they are toxic to cats. I always get suspicious when they say safe for PETS, without specifying..because as we all know, cats are NOT small dogs.

Its possible that in this dental product they are highly diluted, but even the second site that uses essential oils on cats in extremely diluted form said not to use any containing phenols, and Thyme oil is one..

Phenols are another common chemical found in most aromatherapy oils. Phenols are powerful antibacterials. They warm the skin and stimulate blood flow. Because of their heating action, oils containing phenols should be used in small amounts. Basil, clove, thyme and oregano oils contain phenols.
 
I was just reading in readers digest (large print version) :) 50 secrets your vet won't tell you ...... "if the plaque sprays and dental water additives actually worked, we would not be telling you to brush your pet's teeth"
