Dipstick is still not eating on her own.
The vets did another blood test & x-ray. X-ray shows everything looking normal inside. The blood test is within normal ranges for everything except the albumin (sp?), the value was 5.25.

We are doing sub-q 100ml everyday, cerinia for nausia, pecid ac, they put her on a steroid, appetite stim. We are syringe feeding her. (tried everything to get her to eat). The vet also gave a bupenex shot.

The vets want us to have an ultra sound done to see if they are missing something.

Her attitude is good considering what we are doing to her, a tad lethargic which might be due to the Bupenex.

Any ideas out there?, anybody ever had this happen.

I totally trust my vets, they are always up to date on the latest things & try to do the least invasive for the animal to get them well. It kinda scares me they haven't seen this before.

Thanks for listening, Iam scared.

You/your vet is on the right track. I have been syringe feeding three of my cats for over a year since they ear very little by themselves. X-rays, blood work and ultrasound has not shown anything.

See if you can get her to play - that can help stimulate appetite.

And maybe pull a "Mom cat" - grab a warm, damp washcloth and groom her like a mother cat would - a little TLC and a little massage aren't likely to hurt and may make her feel better.

Thanks for the ideas & encouragement.

Hopefully we can figure out soon what is going on, this is just killing me. I do retail so this is the high time of year & of course I stepped up to a lead position and can't call out like I would like to. My hubby is being great & helping all he can, but she is a momma's cat.
