We are so glad for the support of this group! I'm thankful to have come across this community and am feeling more empowered about dealing with Louie's diabetes with the help here. Louie is adjusting~ we are all adjusting more than I could have imagined just a week and a half ago~
many thanks~
Tracy & Louie

So glad he is doing so great. He looks like a kitty who may not need insulin long (anti jinx) He is responding very well to the diet and insulin.

Awww Shucks hon....No thanks needed that is what we are here for, and in a couple of months you are gonna be right here with us, holding hands and paws and telling newbies to breathe and it will get better. We all started out, completely overwhelmed and freaked out, then we took a deep breath, put on our sugar dancing shoes, and started to do one of the best dances of our lives, with a wonderful dance partner...Our Sugarcats!

Now just you wait to see the party we throw when Louie makes it to OTJ (Off the Juice or in remission) :-D

Dearest Tracy remember when we talked about less is more....and how afraid you were to give less?
Please stick around if you are able once you get your precious Louis either off the juice or just stabilized.
You are the very best person to let another newbie know....trust us, the dose the vet reccomended is too high....and please...breath. It always comes thru loud and clear from a new mama who just went thru the same fears. :YMHUG:
Hugs,
Lori

We're ALL so thankful to have found this place. We go from terrified newbie dx with a kitty we love so much that we're gonna have to stick with a needle and poke their ears - HOW are we going to do that? Not MY kitty....how do these people's cats just let them do it? THEN we realize, with the help of the people here (even newbies!), that the imagined nightmare wasn't nearly as bad as we pictured. Then WE become the cheering section helping the new ones that come along...

You're all SO special! Tracy - thank you for starting this thread...

What a wonderful thing to say! and I will second that too! I am sooo thankful for this place and fully believe this place is what saved my girl, not the vet.
Took a look at the ss and he looks great!

This place is so great - we all feel that. So glad you found us, for Louie's sake, as well as our own.

I just looked at your website, Tracy, and am blown away by your work. The colors! Oh, my! I LOVE colors and wish I could have all your paintings to stare at forever. I am sure the colors are even more vibrant in person. Have you ever had work in Southwestern Art magazine? I used to buy an issue here and there because I love the SW and the art from there. I'm going to have to go back and look at your work again....

Thanks SO much for checking out my website! I'm in my studio right now painting! Now I can add checking on Louie as my daily routine~
this community probably saved Louie's life, not to mention empowering me~
(I'm so happy his mid day nadir reading looked so much better today....)
Happy Saturday to everyone~
Tracy & Louie

Ditto the thankful for being here. Would be lost without the advise here. Thanks to everyone so far! Hopefully I can pass on the help in the future....
