I'm new to being a cat mom to a diabetic cat and new to the forum, so seeing/reading that many others are having issues w/BGs bouncing all over the place is very reassuring, but...do they...will they ever level out?
...getting greyer by the worrisome moment... Joanne

Welcome...........and in short YES, many cats even obtain remission as Davidson did 4 yrs ago, and now hoping for a second time. With proper dose and testing this is achieved in some cats but you'll need to follow one of the methods here. Check out the home page for the TR (Tight Regulation) or SLGS (Start Low, Go Slow) method and see which works best for you. It all depends on your schedule and flexibility. Bouncing is usually due to the incorrect dose, missed shot, food spikes or when the kittie empties the depot after going lower then they like. I've got to run but wanted to welcome you and let you know this is the BEST place to get educated and get assistance with your FD needs.

Joanne, welcome to you and Tiny Sole. Some cats bounce, some don't. Some go into remission some don't. Some have other issues some don't. What might work for one might not work for others.

The best thing about this site, is that people here live this 24/7/365. You will get advice, tips, tricks on anything you can think of and ask. But you will have to try it to see if it works for you and Tiny Sole.

My kitty bounces no matter what I try. She is also acro so remission is probably not a possibility. So the best I can do is to keep trying to get her blood sugar to stay under renal threshold and keep her comfortable. Lately I think we have accomplished that except for her preshots they are still being stubbornly high.

it will get better. Bounces will eventually level some and clear faster. It doesn't happen overnight. As they say around here. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Be patient and diligent.

Welcome to you! You're in the right place. Lots of help/advice and support on this forum.

You've already taken the first wonderful steps in helping Tiny Sole! You're testing frequently! Don't worry so much about those numbers just yet...they'll change...prepare yourself for a roller coaster ride :bighug:. It'll be ok...hang in there!

Yes, roller coasterfor sure!
I'm appreciative of everyone's responsiveness and the suggestions and advice. I'll keep listening and reading!
