I'm so annoyed right now.
My fiance offered to get up and give Casper his injection this morning while I showered. I told him not to - just to take it out of the fridge to warm up. I like to keep things consistent; I do mornings and he does the night injection.
Well, he went and injected him anyway, and after he shot, he dropped a brand new vial on the tile floor. $60 down the drain. I had started it literally yesterday.
Now I have to run to the vet, who doesn't open until 8:00am (he doesn't drive). This will make me late for work, but I have to do it as it's either that or leave work early. I have a very long commute which is frequently prone to delays so it's better I go in the morning. I have the old vial which hasn't expired yet but was open for 2 months (Vetsulin) which was the end good use according to the Vet and others. I hate having to use "pet emergency" as a late excuse. It sounds so lame.
My fiance tends to be "out of it" when he first wakes up, hence one of the main reasons I do it mornings (he does evenings usually).
Trying hard not to be totally angry since that serves no purpose but obviously I'm pretty peeved.
In good news, Casper has been declared stable at 3 units twice a day. He had a BGC done yesterday and it was pretty much perfect. We bring him back in 2 months now, instead of 1. we do see a difference in his behavior, and water consumption is down. Very pleased on that front.
