Your care package arrived today. I knew he would go for the "pillow" one. Beau tried to take it, but Jeddie wanted it so I distracted Beau with one of the flat ones. Jeddie loves catnip! He slobbered all over this one for about 10 minutes. Then he tried to take Beau's and got whacked in the ear for it.

Thanks, also, for the cat wipes! Where did you get them? I have looked everywhere for something that would not be toxic and did not find these. The ones I got for my other cat, who was not grooming herself at all so I was not afraid of her licking the residue, have all kinds of stuff in them like essential oils. I did not feel I could use them on him.

You can see how dirty his paw is in the photo - and that is his "cleaner" one. I tried the wipes after the photo and it turned dirty tan. I think his paws need actual water and shampoo again. Then maybe I can keep up with the wipes twice a day or something. But I can already tell these will be great on his overall coat, which is still ok now.

We had a cuddle and brushing this morning and his appetite is better than yesterday. Today was a pretty normal day for him. He helped me plant my flower boxes and was actually being kinda bratty about it trying to get into the bags of dirt, chew on the dill and tomato plants, and jump into the planted boxes. Typical cat stuff so he must be feeling ok.

Sounds like Jeddie had a great day and I'm happy to hear that his appetite is better today. :-D Love the picture of him with the catnip pillow!

Awwww, now that's more like it Jeddie! Thanks for the update, Sheila. SO glad to hear he was behaving somewhat "normal." Small victories...

He also got a 30 minute bath from Beau! No kidding. I kept glancing at the clock. Beau was really working on those paws as well as his face and neck. I got one photo before the batteries on my camera died, so I stole the ones from the remote. I'll have to post them tomorrow.
 
Wow, his paws were really dirty. He must have appreciated (well, maybe not at the time) you washing them for him. I can't tell you how happy I was to read and see the picture of Beau giving him some positive attention. They are too cute!

Sheila, I don't know where those wipes came from. I get various things donated to DCIN, and I suspect those came from a donation from 1-800-Pet-Meds, but I don't see them on that site. Maybe you can Google the name and find them somewhere, or perhaps there is a phone number on the package.

Nice to hear he's feeling well enough to help with the gardening. :-D
 
Venita, I did find them on Amazon. This brand also has Paw Wipes and Tushie Wipes that I might try. They also have Tooth Wipes which might help him too.

For anyone else reading that is interested, the brand is Petkin. They make various wipes for cats and/or dogs (and human babies). They are all non-toxic.
