Sadi & Baby have an appointment for vaccines today - they have not had any in years. What is the minimum they need? Also, I am getting a sedative for their travel this week - any thoughts? Thanks!

I got my cats vaccinated for travel from Canada to US, and both acros were affected by their shots, so I won't be giving vaccines to any of my cats again except the min required which is for rabies..

About the sedative, why? I have seen many talk about no sedative. How will they be traveling? What about feliway or something along those lines? ..... unless you meant the sedative was for YOU!

Thanks! I will just go with the rabies - as far as a sedative - I thought it would calm them? We are flying tomorrow morning & moving to a new home, if I should take a more natural approach - I will do what is best for them. Yes, I will need to be sedated too LOL

No, no good to sedate cats for flying! Get some feliway or all sorts of calming stuff.
Make a change to your subject or start a new one..... ask about calming cats for air travel..... that should get you some decent suggestions. I know it's not good to sedate for air though.

You can knock yourself out but not the cats!
Safe travels to you and everyone.

mocha just got her rabies update shot, we went with the purevax vaccine, because the other vaccine is more commonly associated with I do believe sarcoma cancer?
