I`m leaving early tomorrow morning for a week, will be back late on the 29th. Looking for advice on how much insulin the cat sitter should administer. Sitter will not be BG testing Lulu, so should shoot low, looking for advice about dosage adjustment.

So sad about little Zoey, remembering the pic of her in her little nightie. Such a little sweetheart...

I'm thinking that I'd probably just go down to .5

It's hard to get those .25u doses consistent unless you've done them enough and if she's not going to test at all, it's better for Lulu to be high for a week than too low for a minute

I agree with Chris. Lulu got some lowish greens on .75U last time and that dose it hard to measure if you aren't used to the .25U increments.

Thanks so much, Wendy and Chris. .5u it is. I`ll let her know.
I really have turned into a crazy cat lady -- I`d rather stay home with my cats than go on vacation. Sad...

That's not sad at all. Even now Rosa's diet controlled, I don't like leaving her, or her twin, for any length of time. I think it's completely normal to feel that way, especially when you've had a reminder as you do with FD that they rely on us so much to be there for them.

Leaving them is hard, but it's good for you to get away. Going with the lower, easy to measure dose is definitely a good plan. Lulu may surprise you and like that new dose just fine!

Have a wonderful vacation, Lori!

I agree too with the 0.5 dose too. I would leave an example syringe for the petsitter with some colored water in it, so she knows exactly how small the dose is, and a copy of the hypo instructions taped to the counter or somewhere very obvious.
I hope you have a lovely vacation.
