? Using an autofeeder.

Thanks to some wonderful people on here who suggested an autofeeder, I think we might be on the right track now as Freckles' finally tested in the yellow zone! :) I'm looking for suggestions as to how many small meals to feed during a 12 hour cycle. I'll feed before I shoot of course but I'm wondering if there is a recommended number of small meals during the 12 hour cycle? The auto feeder I have can dispense up to 4 timed feedings. Of course I'm concerned if the autofeeder malfunctions or batteries die and she doesn't get enough food while I'm away at work. I'm out of the house for 12 hours at day for work. Should the meal before I shoot be larger then?
 
You can try every 4 or 6 hrs to start then adjust if needed.

Use rechargeable batteries and change one a month. I change them the day Ollie gets her spot flea treatment. I had batteries die once, so that's what I do now.
