I have Mugsy's Lantus pens and his meter and lancing stuff on order. The Meter etc should be here this week and Lantus next week. Meanwhile, next Wednesday he will visit the vet for a weigh in and I will check the meter against the Dr's test results to be sure of accuracy. We have plenty of syringes for now I and have an assistant recruited. Thanks to all of you for the advice and support. I have a chart started to share with you but, it will not start until this coming vet visit. I have my own private chart going back to the beginning (not the same template) but, it is not stable (keeps resorting itself) so, I'm not publishing it online. I guess you can tell I'm not experienced at spreadsheets. I will keep you posted on his progress (or regress) as we go along. This site and you people are GREAT! I know you've saved at least 2 lives - Mugsy's and Jake's (my friend's cat). You've also helped keep our $$$ in our pockets. Our vet is also grateful for the information. He reminds us he's "just a simple country vet" and he has other cats that need treating for diabetes too. Keep up the good work. :-D

Hat's off to your vet for having an open mind! My vet is barely even willing to talk about the Lantus and insists Powder would get better on Regular! Well I have the wonderful support of FDMB and like you believe they saved my kitty from complications and illness :-D Powders symptoms have improved so much and I think you'll be happy with the results.

truth is, i don't think my guy would be with me still if it weren't for the folks here...it's so amazing and continually hard to believe that these kind of miracle workers exist..

but they do!
