Update:
Just got off the phone to the vet. One very sick little man :( Keytones came up as 2.5 on their scale. :( Bloods all over the place. White bloods up. Temp come down. CRE and BUN not happy but not critical at this point. Potassium a bit elevated. He's anaemic and blood was full of free fat (explains why his blood looked a bit milky :(
She did run thru the list :( that's as much as I can remember.
He's on a drip - may need to change to another type soon.
They are using Caninsulin to try to maintain him under 15.
I'm going to go through and see him this afternoon and give him a whole lot of love. No way he's going thru this (whatever the outcome) without knowing he's loved.

Please keep the vibes going. It's going to be a tough one :(

Hi guys. Thought I should let you know that I have taken Chester to the hospital this eve. He had been flat through the day, even though when I took him for a little walk, he perked up.

@TempestsMum suggested I test for keytones. They came up as about 1.5. (HUGE thank you's)

At the vets his temp came up as 103.2, weight 2.7. He's a small cat, but... :( Vet kept commenting on his lethargy and poor condition :( She didn't seem overly worried about his BG numbers :(

She is going to run full tests on him - even the ones Im praying it really isn't (CRF etc :( ) I will be very annoyed at the other vets if they let him come to me knowing about any of this :( It wouldn't have changed anything, but I would have been able to be prepared and manage it better. :(

Thank you to all of you for your patience and support the last few days. Hopefully we can get him stabilised and he can come home very soon cos I miss him already!

So please could I have mega purrayers for my little Chester the Lionheart.

Make sure he gets b 12 methylcobalamin for the anemia. The anemia would explain the lethargy.

There's inflammation, infection mixed in there as well as initial dehydration :( I'm guessing the drips will cover this. His temp has come back to normal at least.
I noticed he was warmer (ears) about lunchtime yesterday so hopefully they'll nip that infection quickly.

He's fragile :( I'm going to see him this afternoon and speak to the vet. Right now they are not sure what is going on, if there's an underlying pre existing condition. :( Drips, caninsulin and general support :(
From me he'll get loads and loads of love
Well sounds like everyone is doing everything that they can. I'm sure he will be so happy to see you.

Glad to hear the vets are on top of things! Sending more prayers and healing vine for sweet Chester. I know he'll be glad to see you this afternoon. He looks like such a love! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
