Hi everyone,

Just a quick update the vet called me about an hour ago. They got her body temp up. They are worried about her glucose they are afraid she might crash later. I have to go get her at 4:30. If anyone hasn't read the previous topic

Do they have a plan for how you should treat her when she gets home? I would certainly ask a lot of questions before I brought her back home..

Are they worried her bg levels are too high or too low?
 
Sue, Her glucose was at 605 when they checked. she was dehydrated and the insulin will not get absorbed and i have been giving her insulin the last couple of days. they are worried she will crash later because they are getting her hydrated and she will probably absorb the insulin,they are concerned about that. They are going to go over discharge instructions when i pick her up.
 
yes i have them i almost got to check it last nite but it was too late to check after i got the test. the urine got absorbed into kitty litter.
 
You can use aquarium gravel or shredded newspaper or lentils in the litter box. Gives you a good sample. Otherwise, you really have to get a sample midstream.
