UPDATE on our foster Alex Olivia

HI everyone, it's been awhile since I have been on here (been crazy busy including taking in a homeless kitty my boyfriend found wandering the streets last week), but do know that I think of you and your kitties often and how much you all helped me when I first joined the board with our foster kitty Alex Olivia. I'm not sure how long it needs to be before an announcement of OTJ is official, but Alex Olivia has been off of insulin for one week + one day! She is doing great, even running up and down the steps with kitten-like energy. Her and her 'hubby' Donovan are finally free of their URI. She still has alopecia - if anyone has suggestions I'd love to hear them, or perhaps it's something that I just need to keep an eye on?

I was feeding her Wellness CORE and then read about the recall.....I switched her to one of the approved Sophistocat flavors and she's done great on it! Feedings are at 8am and 8pm (with a 4pm feeding when we're home)....as I write this (8pm) she is sitting on the steps staring at me~~~~~~<<be right back>>~~~~~~~~

We even met a new friend through DCIN who has turned into our one-woman cheering section and lives only about a half a mile away :smile: She has been checking in on us daily and has shared her story about getting her kitty OTJ.

Our next challenge is to find a forever home for Alex Olivia and her lifelong mate Donovan. What a sweet, sweet pair......

Oh gosh, this is great news indeed! I am so happy for Alex Olivia, and for you, her much devoted foster mom. Hopefully, this should make it much easier to place her at some point (and of course along with Donovan).

So glad too that DCIN hooked you up with an angel.

Alex Olivia...I always loved her name.
