Update on Hitchcock

Hi everyone,

I wanted to give an update on Hitchcock. It's been almost 3 weeks since I've given him an insulin shot! I am very happy and relieved.

I've still been testing him every day and I was wondering do I keep up this schedule or can I reduce the number of tests?

Much appreciation goes out to this board - I learned so much from all of you!

So Hitchcock has gone over 14 days without insulin? WOO-HOO!!! You need to start up an OTJ party to let everyone know,

Most people are so used to testing that going OTJ is a bit of a habit buster. Continue testing at least once or twice a day- like at old shot times and nadir, then move it to once a day for a couple of weeks, then every two or three days and get lower like that. Soon you will have to mark it on the calendar when you last tested so you can do it once a month for spot checks.
