Cricket's numbers have gotten a lot better. She's been in the pink for the past few days keeping her at 3u. The only thing that makes confuses me is that I just checked her numbers at +6 and it is exactly the same as her AMPS reading. I'm sure it was a good shot. I didn't do anything different. It's strange.

+6 isn't always the nadir (lowest point) in the cycle - some cats nadir very early (Trix was a +2 girl), and others nadir later. So grabbing a few tests at other random times may help shed some light.

Is Cricket still only eating the Young Again? Any chance she has access to contraband?

It's great she's feeling better - that is huge progress! It would be nice to see her numbers a bit lower, though, since the higher numbers are hard on the system. It's probably time to start thinking about increasing her dose again...just something to ponder.

There might be some food spikes that you're not seeing. A lot of times, Chino's PM +4 is close to or higher than his pre-shot. His daytime nadirs usually fall between +8 and +10. Are you able to get some readings later in the cycle to see if Cricket might be doing the same thing?

I plan on doing another curve on Friday when I can be home all day and then increasing her dose on Saturday because I have off that day too. She's also eating Weruva wet food and had some Purely Fancy Feast last night. I honestly don't think she could have gotten into anything but it's always possible. I have family still visiting from Christmas and no matter how many times I tell my uncle not to give her food...I caught him trying to give her some of his left over potato salad yesterday. I could have killed him. I jumped up so fast. My mom has tried getting him to leave several times but he's holding firm that he is staying until the end of the month. She's even requested he go visit, actually said "harass", one of his other sisters but he wants to stay here. We have both told him not to feed the cats but he is the type who "knows everything" and can do no wrong. It makes me so mad.

If I check her now it will be at +9 but I guess it will tell me something.

Random data is always helpful - it helps fill in the gaps. Great on the +8!

I'm not familiar with Purely Fancy Feast - is it definitely low carb? When Trix was eating Fancy Feast, the only ones that were low carb were the Classic pates, but it's been a while since I've looked at Fancy Feast...

Good luck with getting your uncle to "visit" someone else - doesn't sound like you and your Mom are having a good time!

According to a post on here from February, Purely Fancy Feast is safe. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/purely-fancy-feast-carbs.153260/

Fancy Feast also has a new line of treats that are individually wrapped pieces of meat. I was at the grocery store and they were giving away free samples and coupons. My cats love them and they only have 1 ingredient...meat. https://www.fancyfeast.com/gourmet-cat-products/treats/purely-treats/
I give my guys the Purely Fancy Feast as a treat, they love it, and it's never raised Squallie's BG significantly. They also love those individually wrapped treats. Be warned, though, when you open them, they are very wet (there is actually liquid in the little pouch)!
