Tonka is starting out at 6.5 (127) this morning and I'm nervous. But I fed him extra and left him a medium carb foodsickle out for later. expect he dropped to that point because he forgot about the rest of his food (he scarfed it down this morning). Do you think he'll be good with this, given the patterns on his spreadsheet?

Today is the 11th. ;) Leaving medium carb food was a good idea. Not sure what his number was at +6 last night cause the SS just has a bunch of text in it. So I can't tell where he was at AMPS relative to that. I suspect he might bounce a little today. However, Tonka's spreadsheet is looking so much better lately. :)

He was 187 last night at +5.5, so actually a little higher than he'd been at +4, so he dropped from there at some point - probably because he didn't bother to eat the rest of his food. Didn't get a reading at +6.5 Since he gobbled up almost twice as much food this morning as usual, I expect that his sugars will be climbing for a while. Safe assumption?

Sorry re. the messed up post and spreadsheet: I'd edit the title, but can never find the command to do that (have tried repeatedly to find it). I'm not sure why there is text in the US tab there. That's the text that I entered in the comments this morning. It disappeared and for some reason, it pasted itself into that column, looks like. I'll have to fix that up later

Not having a good computer day. Arg.

don't ya love computers!? ;)

I think you just need to put your cursor in that weird cell, at the end of the comment, then backspace and it should (maybe) clear all of it out. They are so helpful and still a pain in the neck, aren't they?!

Tonka's looking pretty good though. Let's hope he gets back in green before too long!

I should have just looked at the World version of the SS - I'm more used to that anyway. ;) To edit the title, go to your first post of the day. Off the the right is a Thread Tools with a little downward arrow. If you hover on the arrow, a menu pops up and select Edit Title.

Have a great evening Jordi.

Found the tab - thanks!
So lets see now what this cat will do with a PMPS of 5.1 (92)... (After eating all the food today, including the med carb... Teeger may have helped, but I doubt it - he very much likes his own plate). Could be a long night

Great job shooting that green PMPS tonight! :D It was interesting reading your comments about the Bravo vs OneTouch meter. My vet uses the OneTouch in her office, and she likes it because it compares quite closely to the results she gets from the labs. But good to know there are meters available now that are supposed to read within 10% limits instead of 20%.

I like the One Touch too (what I use on myself), but buying those strips for both of us was getting pretty pricey so I figured I'd try the Bravo (strips are about half the price). I'm still not sure if I trust the Bravo for catching his lows (I tested it multiple times on both of us at various BG levels and it was consistently reading higher, but I also know from previous lab tests against my own One Touch that my meter tended to read too low when my sugars were higher. I'll probably just err on the side of caution when he's reading lower and assume that he might be 10% lower than the reading.
