Hi I just tested TYLER'S PMPS and thought I was seeing things, it was 315
Tested again 311 and a third time 274

I have no idea why definitely did not eat any contraband, he ate his meal just now and gave him the 0.10 like I have been giving him.

If you want take a look at his SS, but don't know what that would tell us
 
@Chris & China (GA) I took Tyler to the vet, I was too nervous.
My usual vet was closed , so I went where I used to go years ago before they were sold to corporate, too expensive.
The vet owner that sold it opened up another place and have been going there for about 4 yrs now. Dr Sass who is my vet now and used to work at where I took Tyler now.
The owner who is Dr Beeber asked Dr Sass to go with him and they are so much more reasonable.

Only good thing about the old place is that they are open until 11 pm and 4 blocks away from me

Tyler has conjunctivitis, both eyes she gave me drops
His lungs were clear, no temperature, heart was good.
She of course couldn't tell why his BG was that high and didn't expect her to
I just wanted to make sure he had no temperature
She couldn't tell me why he had conjunctivitis.
I had to educate her about the human meter numbers lol

Told her about our group and how knowledgeable everyone is.

I'm going to check is BG @+3
I just pray he goes back to the great numbers he was having
Going to call my vet tomorrow and let her know what happened.

I had to look conjunctivitis up. It's often caused by a virus. Maybe that bit of infection caused his numbers to bump up. Hopefully he'll go back to normal once his eyes clear up.
 
Sorry I was not able to respond earlier. I have been helping someone who has a kitty post DKA with ketones moderate again.
I’m glad you were able to find out the cause of the higher BG.
Please let us know how he goes.

Hi Juls , I hope that's all it is and he gets back to his usual numbers, I'm going to call my usual vet tomorrow and fill her in. I got so nevous when I saw that BG, I thought I was seeing things
By the way Billy is adorable and I'm so happy he is in remission. Thanks for checking in

Hi Bron no problem , I was panicking when I saw that BG. He's been doing unbelievabley good on lantus and the dose of 0.10
I'm just holding my breath until tomorrow morning to see what his BG will be
I'll be calling my usual vet tomorrow to tell her what happened.

Hopefully that's all that's going on. Will add Tyler to my prayers tonight.

I'm sure you're at least comforted that there wasn't anything serious going on so that alone makes it worth the vet visit sometimes.

Hi Chris , took his AMPS this morning are you ready it is 74
I'm so happy but this is crazy
He hates me giving him the eye drops started them last night, this morning he really fought me trying to give them, guess he got a taste of them last night. Lol
I said to him too bad Tyler , after scareing me last night you're getting these
Just wanted to update , thanks again
