? Unexpected bounce. Why now?

Fearless had been doing well the last few days. Was only <100 for 2 hrs, but surfing blue a lot of the rest of the time. Then last night, 2 cycles after his last green, he decides to bounce into the 300s. Why now? Someone here told me that any BG reading >100 is a bounce off readings <100, but I thought the yellows and blues were good for him, and based on his history I wasn't expecting him to stay <100 for more than a cycle. But this jump from blue to pink has me confused. Has his body suddenly decided 1u isn't enough insulin? It's only been 3 cycles since his last BG <100 so it's too early to call it a failed reduction, correct?

Sometimes they have delayed bounces which could be what you saw with today's AM cycle. My Doodles would do this and often the 3rd cycle from green or large drops was the worst.

Since Fearless has seen green just 3 cycles ago I'd just wait it out and give him 6 cycles from the last green before considering an increase. Try not to focus on cycle by cycle but look at the previous 3-5 days.

My guess is he's just being bouncy and will be back down soon.

Thanks for letting me know. It's the first time Fearless has had a delayed bounce, so I wasn't sure what to do. Here's hoping he continues with his average 5-cycle bounces and by tomorrow is back in the green. :cat:
