Maybe she fell from a tree or scratched her eye on branches or bushes?? It’s always a mystery, isn’t it?
I had to climb a ladder and pluck a crying, scrawny, flea-infested kitten out of a tree recently. He couldn’t/wouldn’t come down and had been meowing pitifully all day. The people who contacted me had never seen him before and had no idea what to do. He had been hiding under a mower, then sitting on a wall crying, then got chased up the tree by a dog and got stuck. Theory was that maybe momma was moving them and lost track of him. Or perhaps got hit by a car. Or perhaps he had hitched a ride there on the undercarriage or engine compartment of a vehicle or bed of a truck (it happens). The little beast was scared but friendly. Never did find out where he belonged. I’m glad there are people like you who will step up and help!! (Any chance you want to adopt a now flea-free sweet little hooligan to join your crew, lol??
