Chicklet's mom

Hi everyone,
Chicklet was supposed to start her dose of ProZinc this AM. I was starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel when she started to eat more on Thursday and Friday (without an appetite stimulant). She vomited on Friday morning but I figured this may be due to acidity in her stomach (as she did not eat overnight on Thursday). I woke up at 3:30 AM on Friday to give her some food in hope she would not vomit the morning of her first dose of ProZinc.
Nothing went right. She turned her back again to food Friday early morning. I woke up again at 5:30 AM to do her BG, feed her, and than shoot. She started to claw at me when I started to try to test her BG. She was more aggressive than the other days. I have been testing her BG once per day to get ready for our first day of insulin. Finally, after three attempts her BG was 22.2 mmol. She than would hardly touch her food again so I hesitated to give her the shoot. I have been hounding this poor cat to eat. Chicklet was negative her ketones this AM so I am unsure why again she needs so much coaching to eat. Can this be the start of hepatic lipidosis? She was eating the last few days but not what she needs for her weight. I was able to stay away from Mirtazapine because she started eating but I am now back to square one and may have to give the pill after all I am not sure if she would be a candidate for Cyproheptadine as her liver values (ALT and ALKP) were in the high range. Is my kitty falling into hepatic lipidosis slowly as she has not been getting the amount she needs for her weight? I will have a vet tech give her an appetite stimulant if she does not eat enough tonight.
